Can I get permanent residency in Paraguay in just one trip?
The only official way to obtain permanent residency in a single visit is through the SUACE investor program. It requires a minimum investment of $70,000 USD, starting a company, and committing to creating jobs in Paraguay. It’s mainly suitable for entrepreneurs or investors who plan to launch a real business locally.
In all other cases, you first apply for temporary residency. After 21–24 months, you can apply for permanent residency.
With our express packages (VIP, Hyper Fast, or Complete), you can handle both applications (temporary now, permanent later) each during just one short visit to Asunción.
With our other packages, more visits, longer waiting times, and extra steps on your side may be required.
What does "do-it-yourself" mean? Can I really handle it on my own?
Yes – if you can follow a step-by-step guide, you can absolutely do it yourself.
The Guide Package is designed to walk you through the entire process in a clear, simple way – no bureaucratic jargon.
It includes:

It’s basically a “digital agent in your pocket” – for a fraction of the price.
How does personal assistance in Asunción work?
✅ With personal assistance, you’ll go through the whole process without waiting around in offices or getting lost in bureaucracy.
✅ Our English-speaking specialist will meet you after arrival, help you sign the power of attorney, and then take care of most of the paperwork within 2 days – while you relax and explore Asunción at your own pace. On the 3rd day, you’ll just need to attend a one or two quick visit to the authorities (about 1–2 hours, no lines or delays).
✅ You’ll also get full online support via email, WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram – for any questions or translation help during your stay (though it’s rarely needed – the process is simple and intuitive, mostly just signing and filling out forms).
✅ All local admin fees, copies, and notary services are included in the price – nothing extra to worry about.
✅ In short: it’s the most comfortable, hassle-free way to handle everything.
✅ And with the VIP, Express, and Complete packages, all fast-track fees are already included in the price.
Can I upgrade from a cheaper package to a more advanced one later?
Yes, switching between packages is absolutely possible – many clients start with a lower-cost option and upgrade later when they decide to add more services (e.g. personal assistance or tax support).
For example: you start with the Guide package, but later realize you’d prefer personal assistance → you simply pay the difference between the packages, and we’ll handle the rest smoothly and without delays.
Just reach out to us – we always aim to find a flexible solution that makes sense for your current stage.
Do I have to live in Paraguay to keep the residency?
No. You don’t need to live there full time. You can use your residency as a Plan B and visit only occasionally.
To keep your permanent residency valid for the full 10 years, you only need to enter Paraguay once every three years, even just for 24 hours.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. You don’t need to speak Spanish – that’s exactly why we offer support in Czech.
If you choose the DIY package (Guide), it helps to know a few basic phrases or have Google Translate and mobile data. Locals are friendly and patient, but English is rarely spoken.
If you choose any of the assisted packages (Standard, VIP, Hyper Fast, Complete), you won’t need to worry about the language – we’ll handle it all for you.
Can I bring my family?
Yes – your spouse and children can apply with you or join later. We’ll help you with everything.
👉 We also offer discounted rates for families. Just reach out and we’ll create a custom offer for you.
Can I get Paraguayan citizenship?
Yes – after 36 months of holding permanent residency, you can apply for citizenship if you meet the legal requirements (like a minimum physical presence in the country and showing ties to Paraguay).
What documents do I need to bring?
We’ll send you a personalized checklist based on your nationality, but in general, you’ll need:
Valid passport
Criminal record with apostille
Birth certificate with apostille
(If applicable: marriage/divorce certificate or death certificate of spouse, all with apostille)
Passport-sized photos
For permanent residency: university diploma with apostille (not mandatory but helpful)
